January 7, 2013

To move users from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013
Get-CsUser |Move-CsUser -Target lync.domain.local -MoveConferenceData

To move Dial-In conferencing numbers

Move-CsApplicationEndpoint -Identity sip:lyncconf@domain.cz -Target lync.domain.local

To configure the Meeting Join Page

Set-CsWebServiceConfiguration -Identity global -ShowJoinUsingLegacyClientLink $true

To Configure Trusted Application Server to Lync 2013

trusted

To move Lync 2010 CMS to Lync 2013 Standard

On Lync 2013 standard server run Lync Server Deployment Wizard – select Prepare a first Standard Edition server.

then from LMS run:
Install-CsDatabase -CentralManagementDatabase -SqlServerFqdn lync.domain.local -SqlInstanceName RTC

Then check if Enable-CsTopology runs successfully.

Backup CMS by running:
Export-CsConfiguration –FileName C:\Configuration.zip
Export-CsLisConfiguration –FileName C:\LIS.zip

Move CMS by running:
Move-CsManagementServer

movecms

Just sidenote – Move-CsManagementServer in Lync 2013 has -TargetFqdn parameter so it does not have to be run from target Lync server

I case of troubles this command can be used:
Move-CsManagementServer -ConfigurationFileName C:\cms.zip -LisConfigurationFileName C:\lis.zip -Force
To check CMS status run:
Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus -CentralManagementStoreStatus
and
Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus

Run Lync Server Deployment Wizard – Install or Update Lync Server System – Step2: Setup or Remove Lync Server Components on Lync 2013 and then on Lync 2010

Next CMS database store files can be removed by running
Uninstall-CsDatabase -CentralManagementDatabase -SqlServerFqdn olfe.domain.local -SqlInstanceName RTC
